Dear Mom and Dad,

I want to quit school and go back home!

Many assume that studying English in the U.S. will be the best choice. Mom and Dad also think that this idea is right. Initially, I also agreed with this vision but I have thought that in another way. The method of teaching English here is not mainly different from that in well-known English center in Vietnam. I believe that I could improve my English well before coming here. Moreover, what if I cannot pass TOEFL? It is complete possible

I agree that you have spent so much money for me to study here so going back home now may be not the best decision. However, if I keep studying in the U.S., I worry that it is not a good investment. Indeed, I definitely want to study in an international studying environment. I am not lazy but what if I cannot pass TOEFL and GMAT to be admitted to MBA Programs. I recognize how good my ability is. Keep staying here means wasting our money more.

I also know that why you want me to study in the developed country. You concerns about my future life and my career. The higher education I have the much more opportunity I have for my promotion. Thank Mom and Dad. However, I am completely able to catch my chance by studying in our country. There are many international university in Vietnam. I can the same thing in those schools from foreign Professors.  Studying abroad is not necessary. Additionally, education is not the only key to my success. Experience, ability, and even a little luck are among the other keys.

The antitrust case of some dominant publishers now creates argument. With more than 60% in the e-book market, Amazon is likely to have no rival (par. 8). Some retailers and publishers argue that the act of government will make Amazon the only dominant e-book retailer (par.1). Physical book retailers do not want to lose their market share. The more chance Amazon has to cut the e-book price the more retailers will go bankruptcy. The retailer market will not be a perfect competitive one.

This chapter talk about how a company can keep its products and brand name popular. The information from this chapter are related to my research question because they explained clearly how Apple's products got recognition. It is apparent that every product has its own life cycle but Apple's "iProduct" has not. iPod, iPhone, iMac, or iPad are the products which people will never forget it. I got some useful information to support my ideas from this chapter. Now I knew one more way which contributed to Apple's success.

This article is appealing to me because the tittle is exactly the question that I want to find out the answer for my research paper. He gave some useful information and practical example for the important role’s Steve Jobs in Apple Inc. The new CEO, Tim Cook, may be a suitable change but not the greatest one. The writer also explain why and how “Apple will not be Apple anymore” without Steve Jobs. Those valuable analyses are extremely useful to my research on the effects of CEO Steve Jobs on Apple’s future.

Journal 10: Advice

        Someone can deal his problems well by himself; advice from his friends or his families is unnecessary. The others, however, have to seek advice from many sources and their relatives. In my experience, I had some useful advice for my job and my life. My father always helps me find out solutions for my troubles when I cannot solve them by myself. For example, I remembered that how difficult to decide which university I would study. Moreover, I find it not easy to choose the fields, as business or technical. My father who has experience for working in banking advises me to apply for business school. People usually decide to study what they like rather than follow experienced profession’s advice. In contrast, I determined to trust my father. Now I believe that what I did is right. That decision in the past makes my life easier and more comfortable, a good job with high salary and a gorgeous apartment with faculties. Some of my friends who studied in technical still try to find a suitable job.

        Finding advice is as hard as giving advice. A person’s life may be affected by advice. Consequently, I rarely tell someone that you should do these things or those things and everything would be better. The best advice that I gave my younger friends is studying in the same business school which I learned in. They definitely like business and they want to find a good college to study. They hope that they would find a good job and feed not only themselves but also their families. I told them that you should study here but I just guarantee that my school is extremely great business school. Whether they will be successful in business turf or not will depend on their abilities. I graduated from this school so that is everything I can advise them.

Journal 9: American Food

        The first thing I think about American Food is hamburger. While rice is the main dish in Vietnam, hamburger is my main meal when I come to the U.S. Fairly, it is really delicious and I love it. However, it may be so fat and have a lot of calories. I even gain almost 8 pounds after 2 months here. It is unbelievable. The special thing I can see in American Food is that it is extremely large. That’s the reason why I gain weight easily. In my experience, American Food is tasty and special but it is not good for my health. You can enjoy eat it but should not consume it so much. Hamburger is considered one of several reason causes in the popular obesity in the U.S. In contrast, besides steam rice, the Vietnamese usually eat vegetable in their meal. This habit is extremely good for our health and heart. One more thing I find American Food unhealthy is that the American eats so much red meat. Conversely, the Vietnamese intends to eat more fish. Consequently, I like to cook Vietnamese Food myself and just hang out to enjoy American Food at weekend.

Journal 8: Optimistic Quote

            The saying "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill – means that your thinking is the most important key in your life, not what you face in your life.. You can find out your own chance even in the most difficult situation. I completely agree with this saying. You will never achieve your goal if you think you cannot.

           
            In business, many people have to pass the difficult period before they become one of the wealthiest businessmen. What if they give up their dream and stop their business. Steve Jobs is the fit example. Nowadays, people consider him one of the most CEO in history. He used to be fired by his own company. It sounds funny but it is true. To pessimists, this experience will be unacceptable. They will find difficult to bear this truth or even damage themselves when immerse in this failure. Steve Jobs, on the other hand, realized that this a good chance to try another turf. He did not feel despondent about that. He began accumulate new experience in new field. As a result of this, he finally came back his company as a CEO. He is the person saving Apple get out of the toll of bankruptcy.
          
            In life, optimism can save your life. There are many people killing themselves because their loves are broken. Some ladies feel suicidal when they break with their boyfriends. They insistently claim that they cannot live without her boyfriends. Optimistic will feel that they should find the most suitable his or her mate. At least, they can change their mind before it is too late. So their life can become better. When a door closed, another one will open. It will if you believe that.
            
            Don’t stop hoping and dreaming. Optimism is also among the necessary characteristics for a successful life. I have ever heard the saying having the same meaning "The life changes when you change!" If you think you are a pessimistic, just change it!
